Active+ Software is announcing the release of a major version of ServiceKeeper v2.0.14, the system utility designed to monitor
Windows NT/2000 services and take predefined corrective actions if one of those services fail.
ServiceKeeper performs services scheduling and monitoring, providing administrators with enhanced control and security for all mission
critical server applications.

This new major version adds scripting (VBScript) capabilities to all ServiceKeeper features, including detection, recovery and error
notification of failing services.
Additionally, the following error notification methods are now available:
- write to an HTML Event Log, this notification method may be enabled so that an administrator can check the ServiceKeeper event log
from anywhere using a web browser.
- send SNMP Traps

ServiceKeeper performs much needed tasks designed to strengthen the Windows NT Server platform:

o Schedules services:
        Stops services at night during backups
        Restricts server access at specific times
        Restarts services every night to clean up resources (Memory, Handles, etc.)
o Reports errors via SMTP, NT Messages, NT Events or a custom program (Pager, etc.).

ServiceKeeper is a native Unicode application available both with Intel and Alpha. Special attention was brought to its user interface with
an easy of administration through Service+ either locally or remotely.
